1. Who We Are

Get FinMan ("we," "us," or "our") is a personal finance management service operated by Get FinMan, located in Saint Charles, Missouri, USA. Our service is accessible at getfinman.com.

2. What We Collect

When you use Get FinMan, we collect:

• Account information: your name and email address when you register
• Financial data: bank account names, transaction records, balances, budgets, goals, investments, and debt information that you manually enter or import via bank statement files (CSV, OFX, QFX)
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, and session activity for improving the service
• Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe. We never store your card number or banking credentials. We receive only a customer ID and subscription status from Stripe.
• Household data: if you use Household Sharing, the email addresses of invited members and the data categories you choose to share

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data exclusively to:

• Provide and operate the Get FinMan service
• Calculate your Financial Health Score, AI Insights, and other features
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, spending alerts, trial reminders, billing receipts)
• Improve the product based on usage patterns
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data. We do not use your financial data for advertising.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secured servers hosted by Hostinger in the European Union. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel only.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data: stripe.com/privacy
• Brevo (Sendinblue) — transactional email delivery
• Yahoo Finance / CoinGecko — live investment price data (no personal data shared)
• Anthropic Claude API — AI-powered transaction categorization and insights (transaction descriptions may be processed; no personally identifiable information is sent)

6. Household Sharing

If you invite another user to your household, they may view the financial categories you explicitly grant access to. You control all permissions. You can revoke access or disable sharing at any time from your Household settings.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is deactivated immediately. You may request permanent deletion by emailing support@getfinman.com. We will complete deletion within 30 days.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your transaction data (available in Settings → Export Data)
• Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account

9. Children's Privacy

Get FinMan is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
